Dialogue & Friendship Dinner 2008 in Phoenix

Foundation for the Inter-Cultural Dialogue successfully organized the Fifth Annual Dialogue and Friendship Dinner on 24th October at Hyatt Regency for the fifth time in Phoenix with a stupendous response. The sole purpose of the dinner was to raise awareness towards peace in Arizonians and help them to meet people from various walks of life through a peaceful atmosphere.

An awareness notice was put up throughout the State to various organizations and at notice boards to notify people about this event and they were supposed to RSVP so as to be a part of the event. The number of guests far exceeded our expectation and the interest of the participants was obvious from the eyes through the halls crammed with people on the day of the event. Over two hundred participants from

  • state organizations (Office of the Government, Maricopa County, Department of Homeland Security, City of Tempe, Division of Arizona Education Department, Arizona Department of Health Services, City of Phoenix),
  • non profit organizations (The Cultural Food Bank, Refugee Resettlement Program),
  • Universities and Colleges (Arizona State University, Mesa Community College, Chandler-Gilbert Community College)
  • Religious Organizations (Victory outreach, Reconciliation Church, All Saints Catholic Neuman Center, Black Nurses Association Greater Phoenix, Women of Power International Ministries) and
  • businesses (the Denver group, Hymnson, Goldstein & Pantiliat, P.C., AMMCCO Inc.etc.)

attended the dinner. The keynote speaker was Jannah Scott , Policy Advisor Faith & Community Initiatives Office of Governor Janet Napolitano

The dinner started with the speeches by our Secretary Mr. Sadik Kucuksari. In his speech Mr. Kucuksari mentioned the 2008 FID events to the guests.

The event was a good platform for everyone to discuss and talk about their personal experiences.

A number of volunteers helped with full determination and satisfaction to make the event to be carried out with swiftness and great ease.

With the constant endeavor and courage of the FID and a superb participation of the

ARIZONIANS made this event a grand success, and marked this event a landmark in the history of Inter-Cultural Dialogue in this state. Hence, with this event, we continued our peace voyage for further events with excitement and determination.
